Hardwax sticks are used on composite doors where there has been surface damage that cannot be oversprayed to a satisfactory finish. These are used with gas irons or battery irons to melt the wax into the repair which can then be sanded and finished with a colour match aerosol.
Hardwax is a durable filler that cannot be rubbed in; it is applied by heat using our gas, electric or battery powered heater. It is ideal for repairing edge damage as well as filling large holes and repairing more significant surface damage such as deeper scratches and bruises.
To achieve the best colour match for the composite doors, we recommend using our specifically matched colours. Much harder than the softwax, hardwax requires heating before use. The filler is applied by heat either with our Gas Heating Iron or Combination Tool. Once set, Level the hardwax using our Special Applicator. Use Maintenance Lacquer to protect and adjust the sheen.
